This past weekend we had the unique pleasure of pouring out identity on the beautiful and beloved daughters of the Most High King at the Riverside Ladies weekend in Apache Pass, Texas.
Here is the idea. Take a washer, an ordinary washer. Decorate it, embellish it, and then ask the Lord what He wants to say through it. When a necklace is chosen, the chooser receives not just a beautiful piece of jewelry, but an affirmation of God’s personal promise to them, an identity piece from the Father’s heart.
Ephesians 2:6 says that we are raised up and seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Our identity is in Him, bought for by His precious and powerful blood, and it takes us to our place at The Table of God. These washers are circles, a representation of His Table. We wear them around our neck to remember our identity. They protect our understanding of who we are in Him, our promised identity, from corrosion. They distribute evenly the load of that identity to our whole self: body, soul, and spirit.
It’s time to know who God says you are and clothe yourself with it!
Your baptism in Christ was not just washing you up for a fresh start. It also involved dressing you in an adult faith wardrobe—Christ’s life, the fulfillment of God’s original promise. – Galatians 3:27 (MSG)
